And so I'm back!

Okkaaay. Thanks to Franciso Sorilla's latest blog! It made me activate
my blogspot again. Well yeah, I'm a journalism student, I should be active
here! Yeah right, I think?

Haha. Anyway, I don't want to be formal in blogging. Writers have their
own style of writing. What's important is that I can express myself
through blogging! Weee! Excited? Not much. :D

Funny thought. I blogged about XLR8 before, should I update it?
Am I fan? Hahaha. But yeah, I'm thinking of having a follow-up
story/article 'bout them. Gonna try!

Blogging starts now! And may end soon! But hey, not too soon! :)))

Filipinos Anti Filipinos (MUSIC)

Why are there Filipinos who don't support Filipinos? Why?

This will be my example.

XLR8

"Woah, are they Koreans?", "is that a song of super junior?", "are they Filipinos?", too many questions.

XLR8 is a PPOP group composed of eight young men namely, Francis Ramos, Carlo Lazerna, Hideaki Torio, Caleb Santos, Arkin Del Rosario, Melmar Magno, Meljohn Magno and Adrian Muhlach. They are talents of VIVA Records who first introduced to the public Pinoy Pop or PPOP.

So what now is PPOP? Do Filipinos like it or not? PPOP is a contemporary music trended to the very known Korean Pop (KPOP) and Japanese Pop(JPOP). Ppop is dominantly a dance genre. Artists who is now known to be part of it are POP Girls, XLR8 and Toni Gonzaga.

Now, what seems to be the "smoke" here? What's wrong with XLR8? XLR8, as others stated, can be leveled with some of the Kpop groups but there were issues that shook their debut. What was it? Kpop fans, specially Filipino Elfs, interpreted that they plagiarized Super Junior's Sorry Sorry. The beat was really similar and in their guesting in Myx, they said that it's quite similar but they insisted that they did not plagiarized. Another issue was that their album cover was similar to super junior's. So are these one of the causes why Filipinos are anti-Filipinos? MAYBE.

What is good about this group is that they continue to aim high. XLR8 is now a regular artist of Party Pilipinas (GMA7) and they can also be seen in I Laugh Sabado (Qtv 11). To know more about them visit their facebook: http://www.facebook.com/REALXLR8?v=wall&ref=search

Filipinos should support Filipinos, that's what we should do. But, there are some circumstances that trigger one not to do so. Learn to appreciate what our race can share. It is not wrong to like foreign music but it is also not wrong to like our own music. Give them a chance to prove to us that they can do it. Filipinos should be pro-Filipinos!

Mabuhay!

writer's note:

Okay, I'm not a fan of XLR8 but I don't hate them. I admit that I was one who stated that their song "You're so Hot" is quite similar to Super Junior's Sorry Sorry which made me less interested to the group since I am a Kpop fan. What am I up to is that we should not hate, curse or bash them maybe they did that because of the popularity of Super Junior. I don't know. whatsoever. haha. :) Anyways, I just posted this since I saw them a while ago in I laugh Sabado. hhahaha. =))

Changes

People do change interests.

Time makes people think, think what is the proper thing to do.

Honestly, I don't consider myself as a good writer but I believe GOD will show me the way.

Sounds "corny" but that's how I feel.

In every accomplishment that I gain, it's always Him that I thank because I know
that he's the "way".

What a dramatic way to start my blogging career. (haha, career? not really)

I want to change! I don't want to be that lazy girl over there just trying to memorize
facts. I want to be someone who knows how to TRY! ;) I definitely need to TRY!

For me to improve my writing skills, I must do this!

So help me God. :)
